Biography

Dušan Sedláček specialises in litigation and arbitration, sports law and insolvency restructuring. As a counsel, he has been involved in disputes worth tens of billion Czech crowns. He is an arbitrator at the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic, at the National Court of Arbitration for Sport, and at the Arbitration Court at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. Since 2016, he has also been a registered mediator.

In court and arbitration proceedings, he has represented leading international and Czech companies and entrepreneurs operating in the construction, banking and finance, telecommunications and transport sectors, among others, including in international arbitration proceedings conducted under the rules of the ICC, VIAC, SCC, UNCITRAL and ICSID.

In the field of sports law, Dušan Sedláček has been providing legal advice to Czech and international sports associations, sports clubs and athletes for more than 15 years, including representation in proceedings before courts and the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.

In the field of insolvency and insolvency restructuring, Dušan Sedláček has participated in a number of significant cases ranging from representing banks and major commercial creditors in insolvency proceedings to advising companies in financial distress.
